NEWS DECEMBER 2017 – Happy Christmas and New Year
2017 has been another busy year for The Rock City Stage Crew, working with our regular clients across the country on established and new projects. Alongside this building a relationship with a record breaking number of new clients, 2017 has been our busiest year since our start all the way back in November 1989.
Being shortlisted for the Festival Suppliers Awards and the Tpi Awards as “Best Crewing Company” again has been a huge achievement and must be put down to the great efforts made by our crew and backroom team throughout the year, we look forward to catching up with everybody at the awards in the New Year.
We have exceeded our targeted Carbon Emissions offsets for 2017 with the help of Energy Revolution and remain on course for our goal of offsetting and producing enough green energy to balance out our carbon footprint by the year 2020.
Another good year for training has seen an increase of 15% on last year, mainly attributed to Matt and his team out and about training on sites and at client’s premises. Rock City has now added an internal Manual Handling Course to our crew induction day with several established crew members gaining the City & Guilds ‘Train a Trainer’ qualification so that the course can be internally delivered.
Looking to the future, 2018 will see us continue to stick to the basics, striving to supply motivated, trained and well presented teams across the country that are flexible and that have the right attitude.
Finally from us all at Rock City we would like to take this opportunity to wish all our past and present clients, friends, contractors and suppliers a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
All the best
Toby Short – Director
