Harnessing Solar Energy

November was a busy month; with an increase in all venues across Cardiff, Bristol, Bournemouth and Plymouth, bits and pieces in Newport (Newport Centre), Swansea (Brangwyn Hall) and Exeter (University) with crews traveling as far down as Penzance (Question Time) and up to Birmingham, Winchester and Southampton (Decking & Seating Contracts); totalling just shy of 200 jobs and over 15,000 hours. Our vehicles covered just over 23,000 miles with most jobs being crew based.

Field & Lawn picked up the monthly £100 charity draw (going to the Breast Cancer Care – wwwbreastcancercare.org.uk) with a pick from the feedback forms, whilst Scott Trowden picked up the winning snap (Spotlight Operator Butlins Minehead Christmas Shows) and Paul Manders capturing our crew on the big screens.

The magic figure generated between 25th November 17 and the 25th November 18 was 24,154.79 KW which offsets around 13 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide Emissions- equivalent to 32,000 crew travel miles. We aim to double this capacity by the end of 2020. Alongside updating or converting our fleet of vehicles, we aim to be able to offset 70,000 crew travel miles by 2020 by solar panels alone.
