Energy Revolution

April saw us working with existing clients in new venues, including The Boathouse Café in Plymouth and the Tour de Yorkshire.  Bristol Academy had a busy month Cast, Billy Ocean, Raleigh Ritchie, Ben Haenow, Wilco Johnson, Hollywood Undead, The Lumineers, Brian Fallon, Sunset Sons and Jack Garratt all performing.  Seating and marquees provide regular workouts for the guys to prepare for the summer season.

As part of Rock City’s commitment to negating our environmental impact we have supported the pilot programme of Energy Revolution. Energy Revolution have launched the first industry specific initiative to provide festival audiences with a system to balance the negative impact of their travel to and from events. Further to this Energy Revolution devised a system for Rock City to use that can calculate our carbon emissions and donate to Energy Revolution in order to ‘balance’ our emissions by investment in renewable energy.

This year we will log all fuel consumption at Download, Lovebox & Boomtown including site meetings, crew travel, plant and site vehicle usage, using the energy calculator we can then offset emissions created on specific festivals.

Rock City places value on an aim to measure, manage and reduce our use of resources.  Working with companies such as Energy Revolution we can make solid reductions on our impact update in April 2017 News to see progress.
